EUCEN publishes “A policy statement to promote University Lifelong Learning (ULLL) in the Bologna Process”. This was tiggered by the lack of mention of ULLL in the reform of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that was focussed on the Bachelors, Masters, Doctoral structure, and that basically ignored the flexibility and access that ULLL offers. EUCEN suggested that for universities to become LLL institutions, ULLL had to be part of the central mission of the university and that the university was learner oriented. Different actions and involvement of various players at EU, national and institutional levels were needed to make this shift.
