How can LLL contribute to the social dimension of universities? With this question in main, EUCEN developed a set of tools to help universities to self-assess their level of commitment to the social dimension, to identify their strategies to increase attainment and to embed their policy and practices of ULLL in a strategy of wider social interaction were produced via EUCEN’s COMMIT project. The project developed a 12 policy reminders focusing on three areas:

  1. University Lifelong Learning as a part of society and university
  2. Steering HEIs towards LLL and social engagement
  3. Essence and quality of LLL supporting social dimension
