EUCEN focussed on cultural diversity and inclusion in its HE4u2 project “Integrating cultural diversity in higher education”. The project started in 2015, a very challenging time for migration to Europe, when Syrian citizens were seeking asylum in Europe in big groups. The HE4u2 project gave EUCEN the opportunity to observe how universities in Europe were addressing diversity and inclusion, and to explore the weak points in our HE system and the ways to improve it. HE4u2 developed a guide and a generic course for HE staff to understand and deal with diversity, and a set of Policy Recommendations.
