A call for articles for a forthcoming Special Issue of the Journal of Further and Higher Education is open:

“Internationalization of the Curriculum in Further and Higher Education: Voices from and in Collaboration with the Global South”

This Special Issue will be guest edited by Dr. Dongmei Li (James Cook University, Australia) and Dr. Rosalind Latiner Raby (California State University, Northridge, USA).

While internationalisation has long been a focus in higher education, the specific area of Internationalisation of the Curriculum (IoC) remains under-represented—especially from the perspectives of the Global South. This issue seeks to highlight diverse voices, decolonial perspectives, and inclusive practices that challenge Eurocentric models and spotlight innovative approaches from Asia, Africa, Latin America, and other often-overlooked regions.

We invite contributions that explore IoC in both Further Education (including TVET, pathway programs, and Community Colleges) and Higher Education settings. Topics may include:

  • IoC beyond English-speaking domains
  • Decolonizing and Indigenizing curricula and pedagogy
  • Institutional or personal experiences with IoC or Internationalization at Home
  • Policy and governance frameworks that support inclusive internationalization
