The current discussion on microcredentials has further intensified the importance of structure and transparency of continuing education programmes at higher education institutions. The German Association for University Continuing and Distance Education (DGWF, Deutsche Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung und Fernstudium e. V., member of eucen) has presented an English version of their recommendations of structure and transparency of continuing education programmes in higher education institutions, including microcredentials (https://dgwf.net/publikationen.html). The recommendations contain an overview which offers insight in the different degrees in continuing education in Germany, taking into account the German Qualifications Framework (DQR, based on the European Qualifications Framework, EQR).

The document has been discussed with eucen and a group of eucen ULLL National Network members recently. Further work will be done with the participants of this meeting. We will keep you informed.
