EBSN Annual Conference 2025

EBSconf Apr2025
2 April 2025

The European Basic Skills Network (EBSN) invites policymakers, researchers, educators, and adult learning professionals to its Annual Conference 2025, taking place in Brussels from June 18 to 20, 2025.  This year’s conference will centre on gaining a deeper understanding of the implications of the OECD PIAAC survey data, with a particular focus on how low levels of basic skills exacerbate inequalities in society.

This conference will serve as a key platform to bridge research, policy, and practice in adult learning, with a particular focus on embedding basic skills in broader social, economic, and digital policy frameworks. Through expert keynotes, interactive sessions, and panel discussions, participants will engage with the latest insights on:

  • The role of adult basic skills in reducing inequalities
  • How PIAAC data can inform policy development and programme design
  • Best practices for integrating basic skills into employment, digitalisation, and social inclusion policies
  • Innovative teaching and learning strategies for upskilling adults
  •

Beyond the discussions, the conference will provide a dynamic space for networking, peer learning, and co-creation of solutions to tackle basic skills challenges across Europe. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with experts, exchange best practices, and develop strategies that promote inclusive and equitable adult learning.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a transformative discussion on adult learning and policy development. Register now HERE before the deadline on June 5, 2025!
