The EESC (European Economic and Social Committee) adopted during their latest session an opinion on the proposal from the Commission on “Supporting growth and jobs – an agenda for the modernisation of Europe’s higher education systems” (COM(2011) 567 final).
In this opinion, the EESC sets out its views on how to bring about the changes which need to be made to the university landscape in the European Union in order to encourage students’ and researchers’ mobility and promote future-oriented skills and investments.
