EnterMode project outputs to innovate HE internship programmes

entermode outputs

The EnterMode project, funded by the Erasmus+ project (KA2-Knowledge Alliances) and aimed to stimulate entrepreneurial skills of higher education teaching staff and company staff and develop the entrepreneurial mind-set and related skills of higher education students, is coming to an end after two years and a half of fruitful cooperation!

The project has produced a full set of tools which will remain available in open and free format:
– Background Study “Entrepreneurial education in HE in partners countries, entrepreneurial skills required by HE students, the framework for internships”: the basis for the development of the EnterMode process towards an entrepreneurial internship model.
– Internship model for the acquisition of entrepreneurial skills by higher education students (2nd version): This is an integrated model of entrepreneurship skills acquisition that includes different levels and modes of learning and is focused on key competence entrepreneurship areas. The model offers the theoretical background for the development of entrepreneurial skills to students during their internships.
– Mentors’ guide on Internship model for the acquisition of entrepreneurial skills by higher education students (2nd version): The mentor’s guide offers practical guidelines and tools to mentors who want to apply the EnterMode model. The guide is addressed to HEI administration officers, HEI academic tutors or company mentors.
– Serious game: an online serious game to be applied during the internship to support the acquisition of entrepreneurial skills and mindset. The serious game allows to combine entertainment with knowledge transfer and its purpose is to support the interns to improve their competences and to understand the notion of entrepreneurship.
– Information Package for companies: The package is a visually friendly tool to promote the use of the EnterMode internship model and products with companies and employers. It can continue to be used to promote the project in a visually attractive way even after the end of the project lifetime.

Another key results of EnterMode was the creation of a Community of Practice, hosted by the DISCUSS Platform. The Community of Practice allows members to join a focused discussion on the area of entrepreneurship and has been key for the creation of a network of actors and institutions interested in entrepreneurship promotion for exchange of best practices. It will now be used as a network for further internship promotion and for matching of companies and HEIs for internships. Register and get connected!

The EnterMode outputs will be of interest especially for the following target groups:
– HE faculties/departments that offer non-business studies and horizontal services of Universities, such as career offices or international relations offices that are involved in students’ internships and in partnerships with companies
– HEIs teaching staff and staff working in liaison offices, career offices, internship departments and international relations offices
– HE students enrolled in HE study programmes of non-business and economics sectors
– Companies, mainly SMEs, offering or having the potential to offer internship places for students in different sectors
