eucen presents its views during the UIL conference in Shanghai

eucen has been invited to present its perspective on ULLL during the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning conference in Shanghai (China), on 19-20 October 2023. Our Vice-President, Beate HÖRR, has attended the event. Type of event: Cat VIII – Symposia.

The Conference entitled ‘Promoting Lifelong Learning in Higher Education: From institutional strategies to practical implementation’ hosted by Shanghai Open University tackles how the rapid technological advancements, the climate crises and persistent social inequalities are the current framework that highlights urgent need to transform education and re-imagine the role of higher education as a critical element. 

This conference has its focus on flexibility, inclusivity and responsiveness. The objective is to harness the potential of HEIs to foster sustainable societies through LLL, empowering them to effectively address the diverse needs of learners and meet the dynamic demands of the modern workforce and sustainability of development.

eucen, with a very strong vision on the importance of flexible learning, is a key stakeholder in this conference. Beate Hörr’s intervention has been expected with interest.
