The consortium of the MESHE project has held its first face-to-face meeting in Barcelona, 26 February 2026, marking an important milestone in the project’s development.
The meeting brought together all full partners, its three external experts, and two local associate partners. This first in-person gathering provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration, align expectations, and define the next concrete steps of the project.
Planning the Next Phase: Focus Discussion Groups in 7 Countries
A central part of the discussions focused on the preparation of local Focus Discussion Groups sessions to be organised in seven of the partner countries. These discussions will engage learners and key stakeholders, ensuring that their voices directly inform the project’s outcomes.
The insights gathered through these national discussions will feed into the development of a comprehensive Advocacy and Motivation Pack aimed at learners. This pack will help them better understand:
What micro-credentials are
Why micro-credentials are relevant and valuable
How this type of flexible learning can enhance employability and career development
By grounding the Advocacy Pack in real learner perspectives, the consortium aims to ensure that its messages are clear, accessible, and impactful.
Quality Assurance, Dissemination and Impact
In addition to planning the Focus Discussion Groups, partners worked extensively on:
Defining robust Quality Assurance strategies to guarantee high standards across all project activities
Agreeing on Dissemination and Impact protocols to maximise the project’s reach and sustainability
These discussions ensured a shared understanding of responsibilities, timelines, and communication strategies, reinforcing the consortium’s commitment to delivering meaningful and high-quality results.
A Strong Start for MESHE
The Barcelona meeting confirmed the strong engagement of all partners and experts involved in MESHE. With clear priorities, structured planning, and a collaborative spirit, the project is now moving confidently into its next phase.
Further updates on the Focus Discussion Groups and the development of the Advocacy Pack will follow as the project progresses.
