Fast tracking Outreach to and Opportunities for Disadvantaged people
Project KA220-ADU-C9FF89AD.
12 April 2023
Given the importance of adult education in helping adults adjust to a fast changing society and labour market, more and more organisations are investing in adult learning. Continuing education programmes offer opportunities ranging from consolidating their basic literacy and numeracy, to learning specific skills to moving towards a professional qualification. At the heart of these services is Principle 1 of the European Pillar of Social Rights which states “Everyone has the right to quality and inclusive education.” Yet, as the demographics of our communities are changing around us, many individuals face cultural, psychological, gendered or socioeconomic barriers to participating in education.
The FOOD Approach project intends to improve outreach, participation and guidance for hard-to-reach learners.
This project proposal has been submitted by Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz (DE) to the German National Agency.
