PartnerUp Final Webinar Explores the Future of Upskilling in Europe
The final online event of the PartnerUp project took place on Wednesday, 12 February 2025, bringing together policymakers, project partners and key stakeholders to discuss the project’s role in strengthening workforce resilience across Europe.
As a crucial initiative supporting adult education and lifelong learning, the PartnerUp project aligns with EU priorities by fostering collaboration, innovation, and sustainable skills development. This webinar provided a platform to explore its impact and discuss the broader challenges and opportunities in upskilling and reskilling.
Keynote speaker Klara Engels-Perenyi, Policy Officer in the Skills Agenda unit at the European Commission’s DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, contributed to the event with insights into current upskilling needs of adults in Europe.
The event also featured an engaging panel discussion on “Upskilling and Reskilling in Europe: The Role of the Partner Up Project and Other Initiatives in Shaping Future Workforce Skills.” Panelists (Antonela Marjanušić, Adult Education Institution Dante; Ruby Cooney, AONTAS; Alexis Kokkos, Hellenic Adult Education Association; Didzis Poreiters, The State Education Development Agency VIAA) explored key topics, including:
The overall discussions during the webinar underscored the importance of collaborative partnerships in driving forward lifelong learning and workforce adaptability. The PartnerUp project ends but its impact continues through the partnerships and new ideas that have been created, helping to build a more skilled and adaptable European workforce.
