Preliminary Kick-off for the new eucen project SAMUELE and presentation of the logo

As announced recently, the new proposal of eucen SAMUELE, was approved for funding in November. Since then we have been helping partners to sign their commitment online using the EU funding portal. Everything is in order now and we are awaiting the contract with the EACEA to formally and officially start the work. 

However, eucen has already organised a Preliminary project meeting with the consortium that gladly has joined. This short meeting has given us the opportunity to:

  • present introduce each other
  • review the work that we will be doing during the 36 months of the project
  • agree on a number of internal points such as communication and administration
  • present formally the project logo and visual identity (that you see in the image of this post)
 
Though the project has not yet formally started, the consortium was very cooperative and willing to work. We are very thankful for their engagement. eucen wants to express our excitement for starting very soon in a project that, we anticipate, will be a milestone for us and our members.
 
SAMUELE will do an analysis of current ULLL in Europe, design, test and produce a model for HEIs to self-assess their approach and strategy regarding ULLL and produce a set of Policy Recommendations addressed to different policy levels. 
 
The consortium include: eucen (BE), ESU (BE), Johannes Gutenberg University (DE), Copenhagen Business School (DK), University College Cork (IE), University of Lille (FR), Stifterverband (DE), Station (DK), IRD Duhallow (IE), FCU (FR). So far we have 12 HEIs as Associate Partners of the project as well as the LLL Platform.
 
There will be a number of ways you can be active in this project:
 
  • Call for Case Studies – present how you are doing ULLL in your your institution
  • Questionnaire – give us details and data about your ULLL unit
  • Engagement – send a letter of support and make the SAMUELE project and its outputs really visible in Europe
  • Pilot Tester – become one of the universities that will test the Self-Assessment Model with the help of one of the SAMUELE partners
  • Association – formalise your engagement by requesting to become one of our Associate Partners
  • Participate – join us in events (online or face-to-face) that we will organise and announce in the future
