The wait is over! The Preliminary Programme for the 2026 eucen Autumn Seminar, taking place on 19-20 November 2026 in Barcelona, is now available online.

This year’s Seminar, “The Two Faces of University Lifelong Learning: Employability and Social Mission,” will bring together university leaders, practitioners, researchers and policymakers to explore one of the most pressing challenges facing higher education today: how universities can respond to labour market demands while continuing to strengthen inclusion, democratic participation and social responsibility.

The preliminary programme features keynote presentations, interactive discussions, examples of innovative practice and networking opportunities designed to stimulate dialogue and inspire collaboration across the University Lifelong Learning community. As always, the programme reflects eucen’s commitment to creating a space where participants learn from one another and jointly explore practical solutions to shared challenges.

Whether you are involved in lifelong learning strategy, continuing education, micro-credentials, widening participation, community engagement or skills development, the Autumn Seminar offers a unique opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues from across Europe and beyond.

The full programme will be published in September. We invite you to explore the preliminary programme, mark your calendar, and join us in Barcelona this November. We look forward to welcoming you!
