eucen observatory on Lifelong Learning

The eucen observatory on Lifelong Learning was  developed in 2008-2009 by eucen with initial support from the DG Education and Culture, to enhance the lifelong learning policies of the European Commission, with the aim of developing Lifelong Learning at European level.

The objectives were to provide an understanding of the major European reforms that were taking place in Higher Education concerning Lifelong Learning. The observatory provided information on the major European Policies and three Processes for University Lifelong Learning:

• The Lisbon Process
• The Bologna Process
• The Copenhagen Process

The observatory also provides information about six important themes:

• Validation of non-formal and informal learning
• EQF
• Learning outcomes
• ECTS
• ECVET
• Europass
