SAMUELE Workshop in Copenhagen

SAMUELE workshop in Copenhagen
19 May 2026

On 6 May 2026, the SAMUELE consortium gathered in Copenhagen for a workshop dedicated to University Lifelong Learning (ULLL) policy, hosted by Station and Copenhagen Business School.

The workshop brought together the project partners to collaboratively advance the development of the draft SAMUELE Policy Recommendations and Action Plan of WP4, aimed at strengthening the impact, relevance, and implementation of ULLL policies across Europe. Discussions also focused on the preparation of an online stakeholder consultation that will engage policy actors and institutional representatives in critically reflecting on the proposed recommendations and actions.

The SAMUELE Policy Recommendations and Action Plan seeks to define strategic ULLL policy priorities that can support the transformation of lifelong learning within higher education institutions while fostering stronger cooperation between European, national, and institutional stakeholders.

Key topics addressed during the workshop included:

  • Identifying policy priority areas for the future development of an ULLL culture in Europe
  • Defining concrete actions to support policy implementation and institutional change
  • Mapping the roles of key stakeholders involved in advancing the development of ULLL
  • Designing questions for the stakeholder online consultation
  • Strengthening collaboration and knowledge exchange among project partners

The workshop provided an important space for dialogue, reflection, and collaborative policy development, reinforcing a shared commitment to promoting inclusive, flexible, and future-oriented lifelong learning systems across Europe.

Special thanks are extended to Station and Copenhagen Business School for their valuable support in organising and hosting the workshop.
