The Erasmus+ InclusiveHE project created a practical and innovative research-based toolkit aimed at administrators and policymakers at higher education institutions. The toolkit provides support for developing and monitoring inclusive policies and practices.
The toolkit consists of 6 tools that address different aspects and steps that are crucial for promoting inclusion in the context of higher education: assessment, reflection, strategy and action. It is recommended to use the tools in the following order, to first reflect and collect ideas and then plan further steps towards inclusion:
1) Theoretical Framework and Indicators – to receive guidance on specific inclusive actions and best practices
2) Checklist – to assess and reflect on the institution’s current policies and practices regarding diversity and inclusion
3) Canvas – to reflect on different dimensions of inclusive higher education
4) SWOT-Analysis – to explore the institution’s internal and external environment regarding inclusion
5) Strategy Worksheet – to strategically plan the further development of the institution’s inclusive policies and practices
6) Database – to get to know examples and information about inclusive policies and practices in HEI throughout Europe.
