A good representation of eucen was invited to attend the closing event of the Year of Skills, represented by Lyndsey El Amoud, Pascal Paschoud, Ulle Kesli (in the photo) and Carme Royo.
Many examples of actions taken were presented, and all the keynotes and panelists coincide that the work on skills has not finished. In fact, many of the presenters requested DG EMPL to transform the ending ‘Year of Skills’ into the “Decade of Skills” (at least if not more), in order to continue with the ongoing work. Whereas the commitment from the European Commission with this topic is clear, we will have to see how they decide to accommodate the demand from stakeholders and which would be the opportunities that eucen and its community can benefit from.
At the moment we can inform you that eucen has submitted a new proposal, +Skills4u, that will definitely help us carry on with the work on skills, testing a new approach in 5 different countries. More to know about this proposal in September, when news about its success or not will be announce.
We will keep you in the loop!
