This year’s annual conference of the Society for Higher Education Research (GfHf) will be jointly organised by the FernUniversität in Hagen, Germany, and the University of South Africa (UNISA). The event will take place both in person at the FernUniversität in Hagen, Germany, and online from 23 to 25 September 2024.

This year’s theme is “The Future of the University: Global, Sustainable and Inclusive” and aims to encourage participants to consider the future of universities in the context of globalisation, sustainability and inclusion. If you would like to take part, please submit your abstract via this link by 24 April!

This theme will not only be reflected in the programme, but also in the concept of the conference. The collaboration with UNISA, one of the largest distance learning universities in the world, will bring a global perspective to the conference. A mix of German and English language contributions and formats will be offered online, hybrid and on-site to fulfil the conference’s commitment to sustainability and inclusiveness.
